The CLIMAVORE: On Tidal Zones sees ATLAS Arts, based on Skye, work in partnership with internationally acclaimed Cooking Sections - artists Daniel Fernández Pascual & Alon Schwabe.

Beyond 2020: Supporting Europe's Coastal Communities

The Estonian Presidency of the EU and the European Commission are jointly hosting a conference on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) on 12-13.10.2017.

Stakeholders from all across the EU will convene to discuss how the EMFF is helping to support the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy and Maritime Policy in the current programming period (2014-2020). The event will also represent the opportunity to discuss the current and future challenges of coastal communities, as well as potential policy responses.  

The Rural Leadership Programme is being expanded to the Highlands and Islands.

Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise have joined forces, giving people involved in rural businesses in the Highlands and Islands the opportunity to join the popular 13-day programme.  

A new service has launched today to connect food and drink businesses with innovation support.

Views are currently being sought on the draft National Park Partnership Plan 2018-2023 which sets out a vision for how the Park Authority and its partners will work together to further develop the benefits the National Park can offer Scotland's environment, society, culture and economy.

The Orkney Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) has awarded funding to investigate the development of an innovative piece of fishing gear.

A three-year post will be created by the Green Fishery Development Strategist project. The post-holder will look into the production of equipment for the sector which will help increase selectivity on the sea bed, helping sustain the fisheries industry.
