Stevie Nimmo and The Rising Souls

The Darvel Music Company presents 'Stevie Nimmo' and 'The Rising Souls' live on 2 September 2017. 

The Darvel Music Company was formed to promote music culture, music development and live musical performance within Darvel and other communities within East Ayrshire.

Woodland: making it work for you. Management, woodland creation and woodfuel

A practical on-farm afternoon looking at benefits of managing farm woodlands, new plantings, business opportunities and agri environment schemes. The event will include discussion on woodland creation, how to manage existing woodland, opportunities for wood fuel production and biomass boilers. Speakers include Simon MacGillivray, Chartered Forester; Joe Fergusson, Energy Agency,  Richard Huston, Farm Business Services and Forestry Commission Scotland.

Darvel Music Festival

Past and present band members of Texas, The Silencers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Average White Band will be represented at this year’s 15th Darvel Music Festival.

Red Sky July feature the honey tinged vocals of Shelley McErlaine and Charity Hair, ably backed by Texas guitarist Ally McErlaine. They will kick off the festival on 23 September and will be supported on the night by the excellent Roddy Hart and The Lonesome Fire and Ayrshire’s finest Sean C Kennedy.

Irvine Valley Walking Festival

Variety of walks and events in the Irvine Valley Area of East Ayrshire - around the towns of Darvel, Galston and Newmilns.

Starting Friday evening - 13 May with choice of walk including Bat Walk and Electric Bike Rides Continuing on Saturday, 14 May and Sunday 15 May with choice of walks - varying distances and catergories.

SRP Rural Manifesto Event- New Cumnock

Take part in one of Scottish Rural Parliament and Southern Uplands Partnership's Rural Manifesto 2016 events and fill in the blank pages together with all of rural Scotland!

The Manifesto will be a statement of our collective ambitions and the actions that are needed to ensure these ambitions are realised for all of our rural communities.
