The Community Capacity and Resilience Fund SCVO Phase Three is now accepting applications.

In this round of the Community Capacity and Resilience fund SCVO are looking to fund a broad range of projects and activities that support local community based organisations across Scotland to help people mitigate the effects of welfare reform by providing them with the support and skills they need.

Irene Connelly, Programme Development Manager at SCVO said:

“We’re pleased to announce that the Community Capacity and Resilience Fund is once again open for applications.

''There has been some amazing work over the past eight months and while we were delighted to extend our funding offer to some of our existing projects, we’re very excited to open up the process to give more third sector organisations across Scotland the chance to apply.

''The Fund is a great opportunity for grassroots organisations to help people and communities mitigate the effects of welfare reform by providing them with the support and skills they need.”

This fund gives local community based organisations the opportunity to test out new, creative approaches, develop their workforce and add capacity all with the aim of having a preventative impact on communities, help combat social inequalities, promote social inclusion and support partnership working.  The fund is looking to award grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to eligible third sector organisations to deliver projects/activities for up to a 9 month period that support individuals and communities to mitigate the impact of welfare reform and poverty.  This could be to deliver new services; to expand delivery of existing services or to develop your workforce.  Furthermore, SCVO  are seeking proposals for pilot/test projects for 12 months with grant awards up to £10,000.

Restrictions apply therefore please read the application guidance notes before submitting your application.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Thursday 26 October 2017.
