Consultation on corporate transparency and register reform

The UK Government is currently consulting on corporate transparency and register reform.

The consultation has a package of proposed reforms which could impact companies in Scotland. If you are a Scottish Company you may wish to engage in this consultation as it may impact how you manage your company.

The aim of the consultation is to obtain more reliable information about who is setting up, managing and controlling companies including if there should be a cap on the number of companies someone is a Director of, improve accuracy and usability of information on the Companies House register, protecting personal information on the register whilst ensuring the UK has a strong, transparent and attractive business environment.   

The consultation will be open until 11:45pm on 5 August 2019.
