The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) Contact Point is preparing a series of 'LEADER thematic labs'.

There will be up to four labs with 30 LEADER stakeholders in each. The thematic labs will be an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of ideas and will include keynote presentations, discussion of lessons learnt, including enabling factors and challenges, current achievements and future outlook.

The thematic labs will be organised between September 2019 and June 2020. The ENRD suggests an initial focus on the following two key themes:

  • working with smart villages – possibly in October 2019
  • climate change mitigation and adaptation (initiatives at community and sub-regional level) – possibly in December 2019.

Further themes will be defined based on your feedback. For the purposes of developing the content of these ‘thematic labs’, they would therefore like to find out about your specific interest, views, ideas for sub-themes, and existing good practices.

The ENRD are carrying out an online questionnaire until 15 September 2019 to gather views on the thematic labs.
