Keep Scotland Beautiful launch Summer Clean campaign

Lisa Paton

As part of their Clean Up Scotland campaign, Keep Scotland Beautiful will be coordinating a Summer Clean from May 28th - June 20th.

Keep Scotland Beautiful wants to encourage individuals, households or small groups (in line with Scottish Governnment guidance) to get involved through local litter picks or citizen science. Not only are there mental and physical health and wellbeing benefits to getting outdoors and litter picking, improving local spaces benefits the whole community.

There's lots of ways to get involved, you can:

  • Organise a private event within your local community.
  • Make your litter pick count and do a litter survey to help identify the specific problems in your area.
  • Help spread the message and encourage everyone to take responsibility for their waste using KSB's handy resources.

At this point supporters are being asked to pledge the time that they will commit to helping Clean Up the country in June. The time will be converted into miles and will contribute to the UK-wide Million Mile Mission.
