The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) is one of the charities to benefit from a recent tractor run fundraiser.

The tractor run was organised by NFU Scotland's Highland Perthshire branch and raised thousands of pounds for local charities, including RHET.

A cheque for £1,122 was presented to Alix Ritchie, RHET Project Co-ordinator for Perth & Kinross at the Aberfeldy Show.

Alix said:

"The committee are really grateful to be chosen as a recipient for the money raised at the tractor run.  RHET Perth & Kinross relies entirely on fundraising and donations to allow it to continue to provide free on farm and in class education to 3-18 year olds across Perth & Kinross."

RHET was established to create the opportunity for every pupil in Scotland to learn about food, farming and the countryside. You can find out more about their work on the RHET website.
