Official Veterinarian - Scottish Government

The Scottish Government is currently seeking applications for an Official Veterinarian within the Food Standard Scotland based in Aberdeen.

The Official Veterinarian (OV) role is one of the key front-line operational roles within the FSS. These staff deliver Official Controls (OC) in approved premises across the Scotland, ensuring that meat produced is safe for human consumption.

The core work for the Official Veterinarian remains the delivery of Official Controls for safe meat production in Red and White meat slaughterhouses and Game handling establishments (GHE’s) within Scotland.

Client Support Advisers - various locations - Scottish Government

Senior Buildings Officer - Scottish Government

Salary: £37,418 - £45,241

The Scottish Government is currently seeking applications for a Senior Buildings Officer within Rural Payments and Inspection based in Portree, Benbecula, Stornoway or Oban. You will be part of the Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID) and will have shared responsibility for the management and development of seven Building Officers (B1) who are located in Stornoway, Elgin, Thurso, Oban, Portree, Perth and Dumfries.

Tractor/Sprayer - Scottish Government

The Scottish Government currently seeking applications for a Tractor/Sprayer Operator within the Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Economy based in Edinburgh.

The Tractor/Sprayer operator will be part of a team responsible for delivering farm services in support of the certification and scientific work at Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture and for operating a small commercial arable farming operation within the farm rotation, the farm extends to 135 Ha or thereby. The post holder will also work closely with colleagues in other areas including horticulture to help ensure that services are delivered across the section in the most efficient manner.
