Seasonal Reserve Assistant – Muir of Dinnet

Part time, seasonal post. £10.76 per hour

The post holder will provide support to the day to day running of Muir of Dinnet NNR, particularly at weekends and during holiday periods. Visitor centre opening hours are normally 9-5 but some flexibility will be required. Many visitors look for face to face contact with staff and the post holder will provide a public face for SNH to help communicate key messages such as promoting responsible access and connecting people with nature. The post holder may also be expected to occasionally lead guided walks or groups, carry out visitor surveys and support the Reserve Manager in carrying out environmental events and education with school groups. The post holder will also be required to carry out practical management tasks on the reserve such as strimming, grass cutting, litter picking, path work and other reasonable tasks required for the management of the NNR and to participate in bird surveys and monitoring of mink rafts.

Seasonal Reserve Assistant – Loch Leven

Part time, seasonal post. £10.76 per hour

The post holder will provide support to the protection and monitoring of bird species at Forvie NNR, particularly at weekends and during holiday periods. Visitor centre opening hours are 10am-5pm but some flexibility may be required. Many visitors appreciate on site contact with staff and the post holder will provide a public face for SNH to help communicate key messages such as promoting responsible access and connecting people with nature. The post holder may also be expected to occasionally lead guided walks or group visits, carry out visitor surveys and site maintenance tasks.

Seasonal Reserve Assistant – Ellon

Part time, seasonal post. £10.76 per hour

The post holder will provide support to the day to day running of Loch Leven NNR, particularly at weekends and during holiday periods. This post will require weekend working. The reserve is a popular local visitor attraction with over 200,000 visitors a year. Many of these visitors look for face to face contact with staff and the post holder will provide a public face for SNH to help communicate key messages such as promoting responsible access and connecting people with nature.

The post holder will be expected to lead guided walks and group visits, organise environmental events, carry out visitor surveys and monitor compliance with local access guidance.

Social media is an increasingly important and valuable mechanism for communicating with the wider public and the post holder will be expected to use corporate social media platforms.

The post holder will also be required to carry out practical management tasks on the reserve such as strimming, grass cutting, litter picking, non-native invasive control and other reasonable tasks required for the management of the NNR and to participate in species surveys.

SEPA are recruiting a Finance Assistant to be based at their Stirling office to provide an efficient and effective service in respect of a wide variety of finance workloads throughout the department. The roles main responsibilities will include ensuring salary payments are transmitted to all employees via electronic banking system utilised by SEPA in accordance with strict monthly deadlines, and ensuring all supplier payment runs are actioned on a daily/weekly basis as required either electronically, by cheque or bank draft as appropriate.

Multidisciplinary Diagnostician
