A new guide has been produced to help Fisheries Local Action Groups identify and address social inclusion in fisheries areas.

Amaze Me LEADER Finland 2017 was an international adventure seminar aimed at young people aged between 18 and 28. The event was hosted by five Local Action Groups around Lake Saimaa: Pohjois-Kymen Kasvu, Veej’jakaja, Rajupusu, Piallysmies and Lansi-Saimaa.

All types of projects - no matter the size, location or technologies - are being encouraged to apply for the European Broadband Awards 2017.

The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) seminar on 'Revitalising Rural Areas through Business Innovation' took place on 30 March 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.

The seminar explored how rural businesses – both farm and non-farm – can innovate in ways that "create the conditions for future prosperity and vitality" as articulated in the Cork 2.0 Declaration.

In a new projects brochure from the European Network for Rural Development you can find out how Rural Development Programme funding has been used to support rural business across Europe.

The Supporting Rural Business projects brochure highlights inspiring examples of how to provide advice, training and networking opportunities to rural businesses, as well as targeted investment in the digital and physical infrastructure needed by rural business, both on-farm and in other rural sectors of activity.

Beyond 2020: Supporting Europe's Coastal Communities

The Estonian Presidency of the EU and the European Commission are jointly hosting a conference on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) on 12-13.10.2017.

Stakeholders from all across the EU will convene to discuss how the EMFF is helping to support the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy and Maritime Policy in the current programming period (2014-2020). The event will also represent the opportunity to discuss the current and future challenges of coastal communities, as well as potential policy responses.

The EIP-AGRI event took place in Kilkenny Ireland on 1-2 June 2017. Around 150 people from 25 countries across Europe got together to share experiences, discuss needs and identify priority actions for developing Digital Innovation Hubs for agriculture.
