The aim of this event is to gather initial views on the Scottish Government’s proposals outlined in the consultation, “Delivering our Vision for Scottish Agriculture, Proposals for a new Agriculture Bill”.

Agriculture Bill Consultation - Delivering the Agricultural Vision

As part of the Scottish Government’s consultation process to develop a new Agriculture Bill an online thematic workshop to address Delivering the Agricultural Vision will take place on the 16th November (19:00-21:00).

Next week will see a workshop held in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire (Thainstone House Hotel, 25th October) as part of a series of eight face to face events which will support Scottish Government’s consultation process to develop a new Agriculture Bill. 

 

The Clyde Climate Forest will see 18 million trees planted in both urban and rural parts of Glasgow City Region over the next decade.

Trees, woodlands and forests are recognised as essential if we are to address the Climate Crisis by reducing damaging atmospheric emissions and are crucial to assist in a recovery for nature.

Agriculture Bill Consultation - Rural Development and Forestry

The Scottish Government is committed to realising our Vision for Agriculture and transforming how we support farming and food production in Scotland to become a global leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

To support this a series of consultation events are being held to help inform the development of a new Agriculture bill.

The majesty and beauty of Scotland’s landscape and outdoor spaces are a magnet for visitors from all over the UK and the wider world.

Access rights under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 make Scotland support freedoms to access the land and wild camp rarely matched elsewhere in the world. These access rights bring considerable benefits to the public, and enable visitors to Scotland to connect even more meaningfully to nature and the outdoors.

A series of consultation events will take place over the next few months commencing with first face to face seasons starting in Inverness this Wednesday (5th October) followed by Portree, Skye on Thursday (6th October) to support a public consultation on the forthcoming Agriculture Bill

As part of the Scottish Government’s consultation process to develop a new Agriculture Bill an online thematic workshop to address Rural Development and Forestry will take place on the 27 October (19:00-21:00).

The Scottish Government is committed to realising a Vision for Agriculture and transforming how farming and food production is supported across Scotland in order to become a global leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

This week the 'National Islands Plan: implementation route map 2022' was published. It details how the Scottish Government will deliver their priorities over the lifetime of the National Islands Plan.
