Young People Masterclass Launch event

The aim of the launch event is to provide an insight into our 4-webinar series to support the attraction, recruitment, development, leadership and retention of Young People across the 3 specific sectors in order to support a Covid recovery. We will also be providing an insight session into the specific sector challenges organisations are facing around the attraction, recruitment, development and retention of Young People as a result of the Pandemic and Brexit.

Following a successful inaugural programme developed in response to Covid-19 challenges, the Tourism and Hospitality Talent Development Programme (THTDP) has been funded for a second year.

Communities Leading in Tourism is a fully-funded, responsive programme that empowers community leaders to shape and influence local tourism.

The Perth and Kinross Visitor Management Group is currently working on a Tourism Infrastructure Development Plan for 2022 – 2025 and are seeking the views of residents in the Perth and Kinross area.

The Coronavirus pandemic led to a vast increase in the number of visitors to Perth and Kinross throughout 2020-21 and the Group want to understand how the rise in staycations has affected residents and their communities so that they can continue to support them effectively.

The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) - Board Members 

The two-day Scottish Agritourism Conference was a hugely inspirational, educational and enjoyable event.

The Langholm Initiative charity aims to buy 5,300 acres of Langholm Moor and three residential properties from Buccleuch, and so expand the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve to 10,500 acres.

Success would boost plans for community regeneration, including nature-based tourism opportunities, and for tackling the nature and climate emergencies.
