Recent years have witnessed extensive interest in the exploitation of wind, wave and tidal resources in Scotland’s seas.

Assessment of the potential wildlife impacts of such schemes is central to the consenting process but challenging to deliver, especially for highly mobile species such as birds and mammals, and in the absence of empirical data on interactions. This event will review some of the tools and models being developed for prediction and assessment of impacts upon the natural heritage, along with early views on the design of post-consent monitoring programmes for those schemes that are first to build out.

This event is part of Scottish Natural Heritage's Sharing Good Practice series of events.

This will be a collaborative workshop, delivered by representatives of Government,SNH, industry and academia.
