The Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) is working with the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society (SAOS) and Scotland Food & Drink to deliver the next phase of 'Delivering Growth through Wholesale' programme.

Designed to improve and encourage engagement between producers and wholesalers, the programme, will continue with a two-part workshop providing producers with tools and information to help them maximise opportunities within the wholesale industry which is currently worth £1.7billion to the Scottish economy.

The workshops will take place over two days and will introduce the wholesale industry, the size of the opportunity, how wholesale works and the benefits it can deliver for producers. It will help them understand what wholesalers are looking for and give insider tips on managing relationships and maximising sales once a listing is agreed.

Producers will also be given real-life examples of how wholesale has helped producers of various sizes grow their business and the benefits they have seen from working with the sector - find out more from AG Barr, Mackies and Summer Harvest Oils how they work with wholesale.

They will receive a suite of tools to help them make the most of the opportunity and will receive one to one expert support following the workshops to support producers in applying learnings to develop their engagement strategies.

The workshops are open to all food and drink producers in Scotland.

The workshops will take place over two days in either January (12th & 13th January) or (8th & 10th February). Please note producers can attend either the January or February dates and will not need to attend both.

Producers who attend the workshops will receive priority for the Meet the Wholesaler event on March 9th. More details on this will be shared soon.

The closing date for applications for the workshops is Friday 3rd December at 5pm.
