Dornoch

This year celebrates the ninth festival of fibre and woolen crafts, with Masterclasses in weaving and botanical printing.  For the first time, the event has also expanded into Dornoch Cathedral where throughout the weekend (after midday on Sunday) there is a Quilt Display by "Off the Wall", Scottish Textile Artists.

The weekend starts with an Opening Talk on Friday evening, followed by a soup and cheese supper in the Social Club. For your crafting supplies, you will find a variety of traders in the West Church Hall and the Social Club

Masterclasses and Learning Techniques must be booked in advance but the drop-in sessions are free to all.

The competition is sponsored by the Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the theme is a handcrafted soft toy, not to exceed 18" in any dimension. Entries must be handed into the West Church Hall by 11am on Saturday 10 March.

Fibre Fest is run by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers and to help finance the running costs we are again holding a raffle. The first prize in the raffle will be a fully-equipped crafting project bag, with all the useful items you need.
