An Introduction to Service Design: what it is and why it matters to employability?

Please join us at this online event hosted in partnership by Third Sector Employability Forum (TSEF), the TSI Network and Social Enterprise Scotland.

Date and time: to

Location: Online

Organisation: Social Enterprise Scotland

The No One Left Behind Strategic Plan 2024-27 includes a commitment to ‘embedding the Scottish Approach to Service Design’ in local commissioning and delivery.

This is central to ensuring person-centred services and means that they are designed with, and not for, people seeking support on their journey into work.

The Service Design approach can be applied at many levels: whether to inform strategic planning and commissioning priorities, designing and delivering a specific service, or guiding the relationship between employability worker and the person they are supporting.

Participants at this workshop will:

  • Gain an understanding of what Service Design is (and is not)
  • Explore why it matters and how it can be applied in the context of employability
  • Discuss different approaches to Service Design, the importance of a values-based approach: and
  • Learn a little about different tools and training to help take this work forward

This session will be hosted by Pegs Bailey from the TSI Network alongside colleagues who have been involved in implementing a range of Service Design approaches across Scotland.
