Date and time: to

Location: Tollcross Central Hall, 2 West Tollcross, Edinburgh. EH3 9BP

The Public Diners Conference is fast approaching, and we’re delighted to announce our speakers:

  • Sławomir Szulc – co-owner of the iconic Prasowy milk bar, one of the oldest public diners in Poland.
  • Jennifer Constantine – researcher at the Institute of Development Studies, who will discuss the Brazilian Restaurantes Populares and the role they play in ensuring food security and good nutrition.
  • Floris Visser – founding director of Public Food, a Dutch organization that advocates for good food as a public good.

We will also be joined by our partners from the DISHED project, which is piloting two public diners – including one in Dundee – and researching their impacts.

This promises to be an exciting day, full of insight and discussion about how we – together – can progress the idea of public diners in Scotland.
