Location: The James Hutton Institute Macaulay Drive Aberdeen AB15 8QH

Three Words for Forest is a powerful new verbatim play that draws on interviews with 30 forest practitioners, ecologists and policy makers from across the UK and Europe to understand the challenges of making decisions in the face of multiple risks and deep uncertainties.

In a context of changing climate, advancing pests and diseases, timber shortages, shifting governmental and consumer priorities, global inequities, the biodiversity crisis, and emergent research, what actions are we, can we, or should we take?’ And what are the options and barriers?

The Three Words for Forest team are delighted to be partnering with The James Hutton Institute to screen a filmed version of the play which will be followed by a relaxed discussion/workshop to explore some of the issues raised in the play and for you to share your own thoughts and ideas. The event will close with a complementary light lunch.
