Which staffing type is right for you? Do you need someone full-time, part-time, for a defined period of time only, on a casual basis or perhaps a freelancer/contractor?

Does the thought of navigating this process fill you with a sense of fear and dread or is it exciting but you are not quite sure where to start?

During this learning you will learn what it means to become an employer from a Human Resources perspective including:

  • Recruitment and selection – how to ensure that the process is fair.
  • Making that important offer of employment – how to ensure that you are meeting all of the legal requirements.
  • Ensuring that you are complying with employment law inclusive of issuing out Terms and Conditions of Employment and checking eligibility to work in the UK.
  • What insurance you need to have in place.
  • Your responsibilities to HMRC.
  • Why keeping records are so important.

This learning session will be run by Human Resources professional Zoe Cormack from Cormack HR, who is based in Perthshire.
