Chance to attend European Rural Parliament

Scottish Rural Action are offering two of their members the opportunity to attend the third European Rural Parliament.

The 2017 European Rural Parliament takes place in Venhorst, Netherlands from Wednesday 18 to Saturday 21 October. Scottish Rural Action, in association with the Scottish Rural Network, will fund two Scottsh Rural Action members to attend the event. 

This offer includes:

  • Return flights
  • Accommodation
  • Attendance at the European Rural Parliament for the duration of the event
  • Reasonable expenses

The European Rural Parliament is a long-term campaign to express the voice of rural people in Europe; and to promote self-help and action by the rural people, in partnership with civil society and governments. People from over 40 countries will attend the European Rural Parliament event in Venhorst. 

Scottish Rural Action are asking those interested in attending to complete a short application form which you can find on the Scottish Rural Action website. By completing the form, you are agreeing to being able to travel for the duration of the event and you must be aged 16+ (one of the places will be reserved for a young person aged 16-29) and hold a valid passport. They will also ask the attendees to write a blog and bring back some photos of your visit.
