Applications are open for individuals working with tourism related community led projects.

Communities Leading in Tourism is a personal development programme which will give community organisations the knowledge, specialist tourism insights and leadership skills needed to influence, plan and manage sustainable tourism recovery for the benefit of their community.

It’s a 12 day online programme delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy over a three month period starting at the end of September. There are 30 places available for the autumn cohort, and anyone based in Scotland can apply. Places are competitive.

The course is fully funded by the Scottish Government.

The programme is part of the Scottish Tourism Leadership Programme, and brings the community and tourism sector together to maximise local tourism opportunities. It is delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy on behalf of the Scottish Government, HIE, South of Scotland Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise and Skills Development Scotland.

Closing date for applications is 29 August. Fur further details and to apply, visit the Social Enterprise Academy website.
