GrowBiz’s new LEADER-funded project aims to provide the support rural enterprises need to sustain and grow, with a focus on digital routes to market, co-working spaces (enterprise ‘hotspots’), and digital upskilling.  Our vision is to make Perth and Kinross the most entrepreneurial rural economy in Scotland.

Through peer learning, mentoring, networking and 1-1 meetings the project will support anyone seeking to become self-employed, start/grow a small/micro-business or social enterprise. A key element of the MRBD project will be the development of at least ten Smart Villages (digital communities) in rural Perthshire.

To successfully deliver this project we are recruiting a number of self-employed contractors for the following roles:

MRBD Enterprise Facilitators

The post-holders will be experienced in, and passionate about, providing one to one enterprise support, information and coaching to people wishing to start-up or develop a business enterprise.  The facilitators will support the development of digital skills - including key areas such as marketing, finance and product development, as well as personal development, business planning, identifying training needs, connecting with other local entrepreneurs and signposting to resources from external organisations and partners.  This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Guaranteed minimum 10 hours per month averaged over 3 months.  Maximum variable - up to 60 hours per month.

MRBD Marketing and Communications Manager

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced MRBD Marketing Manager with proven expertise to develop and deliver a comprehensive digital marketing and communications strategy.  This hands-on role includes the creation of marketing collateral, content writing and social media communications as well as building strong long-term relationships with clients, communities, partners and stakeholders.  This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Average of 80 hours per month.

MRBD Digital Content, Learning and Training Coordinator

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced MRBD digital content, learning and training coordinator who is passionate about creating accessible, creative and engaging content in a range of formats and for different audiences.  Part of the role will be to ‘normalise’ digital including through the development of e-learning.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing, planning and delivering training courses in person and using digital platforms and a knowledge of different learning style and tools to support these. This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Average of 50 hours per month.

MRBD Smart Village Project Manager

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced MRBD Smart Village Project Manager with proven expertise to develop, manage and deliver an innovative Smart Village project for Perthshire and Kinross.  This role is to develop a minimum of ten smart villages in Perthshire & Kinross, alongside the development of a ‘proof of concept’ platform for artisan businesses which has the potential to be replicated for other sectors.  The post-holder will be responsible for the set-up, management and delivery of this pilot project and will have demonstrable experience of managing resources, budgets and contractors. This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Average 90 hours per month

MRBD Project Manager

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced MRBD Project Manager with proven management experience working with internal team members and external partners and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.  The role will include managing and developing systems and helping shape and deliver operational and financial objectives for the Making Rural Business Digital project.   The post-holder will facilitate exemplar client support and in collaboration with the MRBD project team design the learning and events calendar. This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Average 65 hours per month.

MRBD Project Co-ordinator

We are recruiting an experienced senior administrator and project coordinator – confident in the use of digital technology - to manage the day to day running of the project and provide administrative support to the MRBD Project Manager, SV Project Manager and MRBD project team.  The role includes responsibility for the purchase order process in line with LEADER guidelines and managing the coworking space and meeting room bookings for the Coupar Angus Enterprise Hotspot. The post-holder will also be responsible for, and assisted by, the project administrator. This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

 Average 90 hours per month

MRBD Project Administrator

This varied role will suit an experienced and skilled administrator, confident in the use of digital technology. Responsibilities will include providing administrative support, dealing with incoming email and post, telephone calls, providing reception cover at the Coupar Angus Enterprise Hotspot, managing diaries, updating websites and some basic bookkeeping duties. This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

Average of 80 hours per month

MRBD Finance Administrator

This role requires a skilled Finance Administrator who has demonstrable experience of financial administration and an understanding of both the enterprise and Charity financial landscape for the MRBD project.   The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of OSCR requirements, be responsible for the effective administration of the financial operations of the project, ensuring compliance with LEADER requirements, regulations, policies and controls.  Reporting to GrowBiz’s Finance Manager, the role will also involve the preparation and reporting on financial updates and budgets.  This role is part of the LEADER-funded GrowBiz project Making Rural Business Digital.

40-60 hours per month
