Crowdfund Scotland are offering 100% free fundraising for businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.

Their partners at Enterprise Nation will also be providing access to free training and support for business with online sales, marketing and finance.

During lockdown traders and businesses are faced with a new kind of challenge, and without a regular flow of income they may struggle to pay salaries, rent and other expenses.

Crowdfund Scotland have launched a campaign encouraging the general public to pay a little now and support their local businesses, who are suffering the worst of the brunt of COVID-19. In return, businesses offer future vouchers, tickets etc. for redemption at a later date, once the pandemic has passed. They hope that this reactive way of collecting some money now, should help with the cash flow for smaller businesses and public venues, while the general public are staying at home.

It's easy for businesses to set up, and Crowdfunder are paying all the fees (including payment transaction fees), so it's 100% free to do. Additionally, if the project falls into a LEADER eligible area, then they can also offer businesses extra help setting up their page.

It's open to businesses of all types, including CICs and Social Enterprises. There are currently 285 projects live who have raised a total of £416,006 across the platform so far.
