Bòrd na Gàidhlig’s Gaelic Officers scheme is a new fund to support organisations to employ an officer to undertake Gaelic development work.

Applications are welcomed from third-sector organisations looking to create a new post, or to extend an existing Gaelic development post.

They are particularly looking to support officer posts in communities or sectors which currently have a comparative lack of provision in terms of Gaelic development officers.

Applications are welcome for posts that will last for up to 12 months, and support can be requested for posts that are full-time or part-time.

The estimated budget allocated to this fund is £250,000. Applications may be made for up to a maximum of £40,000 and organisations must contribute at least 20% of total costs (which can include match funding from other sources, including from public bodies/local authorities).

Applications must be submitted to Bòrd na Gàidhlig by email no later than 3pm on Tuesday 15 February 2022.

For full details, and to apply, visit the Bòrd na Gàidhlig website.
