The charity RSABI is now being represented in the North East by farmer John Matheson.

Mr Matheson, who farms near Rothiemay in Aberdeenshire is working with RSABI on a part-time basis to help raise income through the charity's Support Scheme.

RSABI is a Scottish charity providing financial assistance and support to people and their families working in land-based employment and those who are no longer able to work due to age, illness or disability who are experiencing hardship.

Their Supporter Scheme offers organisations and businesses levels through which they can support the charity according to their size and generosity. There is also an Individual category for people to demonstrate their support.

Last year RSABI helped over 900 people, up from 688 people the previous year.
