Participants are being sought for a European workshop on 'New value chains from multifunctional forests'.

Do you have relevant experience or ideas on innovative ways to add economic value to forest products or services? If so, the agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) would like to hear about them.

They are holding a workshop during the second week of November 2016 in Vienna, Austria to showcase innovative value chains which add value to a number of forest products and services with a high potential but which are currently under-used, such as wild products, resin derivates, textile fibres, recreational services and so on.

The workshop will primarily focus on non-wood products and services. However, examples of innovative wood value chains will be also considered if they can inspire innovative uses of wood by forest owners and managers throughout Europe.

If you are interested in participating please fill in the online form. The call for participants will be open until 13 May at 11:59 am.

The selection of participants will be made taking into account the applicants’ suggestions and we are looking for a rich variety of examples, covering different products and services, regions, etc.

The ideas collected will feed the discussions at the workshop and participants will have the chance to present their ideas and experiences to other colleagues and innovators.

The selected participants will be informed by the end of June. Travel and hotel costs for participants can be covered by the European Commission.
