Information and presentations from a recent European workshop on data sharing are now available online.

The European Innovation Partnership on Agriculture and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) workshop on 'Data Sharing: ensuring a fair sharing of digitisation benefits in agriculture' took place in Bratislava, Slovakia on 4-5 April 2017.

Digital technologies such as robots, big data and the Internet of Things could provide solutions for many of the challenges that are facing the agriculture sector. These technologies rely on data sharing among different people and organisations - including farmers, advisers, processors, public bodies and so on. To get the best value from data, it often has to be aggregated and data from different sources has to be pulled together.

Data sharing is difficult to achieve. This workshop discussed the existing and potential arrangements, frameworks and pathways to help with effective, fair and valuable data sharing.

Presentations and more information from the workshop is available on the EIP-AGRI website.
