European Maritime Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Programme Coordinator - Forth Fisheries Local Action Group

  • Location: Eyemouth Fishery Office, Fishmarket Building, Gunsgreen Quay, Eyemouth
  • Salary: £26,562.66 - £28,989.91 per year
  • Hours: 35 hours per week

The EMFF Programme Coordinator will support the work of the new Forth Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG). The Forth FLAG will deliver European Maritime Fisheries Fund local development funding in the coastal areas of the Scottish Borders, East Lothian and Fife. The Coordinator will work with community groups and businesses to support the development of applications to the fund, with the objective of maximising EMFF investment opportunities in the fisheries areas and sustaining the coastal economy.  

The EMFF Programme Coordinator will be based in Eyemouth and will work with projects across the FLAG area.  A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.

Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER - part-time Development Officer

Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER is recruiting a part-time (three-days a week) Development Officer to work with businesses and community groups across the rural area to help them submit applications to the LEADER Local Action Group, and support the delivery of the Local Development Strategy. The LEADER team is hosted within Stirling Council although covers the wider area of West Dunbartonshire and Clackmannanshire as well as rural Stirling.

FARNET Support Unit - Thematic & Territorial Coordinator

The FARNET Support Unit (FSU) is recruiting a senior expert to join its dynamic and international team working on assisting fisheries and coastal communities on the path to sustainable development.

The FSU is based in Brussels and provides technical assistance to the Directorate General for Maritime Affaires and Fisheries of the European Commission (DG MARE) on the implementation of Community Led Local Development (CLLD) in fisheries and coastal areas across the EU.

Rural Perth &  Kinross LEADER Administrator

  • Fixed Term until 31 December 2020
  • Salary: £18,188 - £20,534
  • Location: Perth

The Rural LEADER Administrator will support LEADER project across Perth and Kinross and assist the project co-ordinator to deliver the programme until 2020. The main duties of the post will involve administration, processing, recording and issuing grant claims and collating statistical information relative to the programme. You should be computer literate in most microsoft packages however training will be given on the LEADER system.

Outer Hebrides LEADER Coordinator

Working within the Development Department, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the effective delivery of the Outer Hebrides LEADER and European Maritime & Fisheries Fund 2014-2020 (EMFF) Local Development Strategy and Business Plan. You will manage the LEADER team and administer the Programme on behalf of the Outer Hebrides LEADER and EMFF Local Action Groups.

Duties include reporting to the Local Action Group, the Comhairle, Scottish Government, European Union, Audit Scotland and other institutions and stakeholders; engaging with applicants, providing advice, assessing applications and preparing reports for consideration and formal decisions; developing cooperation and networking projects and opportunities locally and nationally; providing effective management of budgets relating to the LEADER Programme, ensuring all State Aid and Audit controls are adhered to, overall responsibility for financial and compliance management.

Salaried General Practitioner - Langabhat Medical Practice

Langabhat Medical Practice are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will enhance the care we offer to their 5,500 patients. Langabhat is a training practice which has six surgeries located throughout Lewis's rural communities which they have recently merged to one practice. They require a patient-centered individual to join their multi-disciplinary team of Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants led by a team of innovative and focused GPs to help drive their vision of a rural, modern medical practice. They are looking to develop the Practice, and are therefore seeking a GP to join their team with the view to becoming a partner if desired. Ideally they would like an 8 session GP however they would be flexible with the right candidate. In addition to the above they need someone who will support and take an interest as we make the transition from QOF to the new GMS contract terms.

The Moray Firth Partnership (MFP) is looking for someone able to use their existing skills and local knowledge and who is interested in developing a career in coastal and marine management to take over the lead role in managing and developing this well-respected organisation. Now that Scotland’s National Marine Plan has been published, the MFP’s focus over the next few years is expected to be on identifying and helping to refine local options for regional marine planning, working with all sectors.

Managing one of only six local coastal partnerships in Scotland, the new manager will have a unique opportunity to be involved early in the process and to engage with a wide range of stakeholders as the practicalities of delivering regional marine planning become more clearly defined.
