Outer Hebrides LEADER - Project Support Assistant

  • Location: Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
  • Salary: £11,580 - £12,367 per year
  • Hours: 22.20 hours per week

You will provide administrative support to the Outer Hebrides LEADER and European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) Local Action Groups, the LEADER Co-ordinator and Development Officers, ensuring the effective delivery of the Outer Hebrides LEADER and EMFF Programme 2014-2020.

Duties include: establishing and maintaining robust administration and recording systems; working with complex spreadsheets and ledger systems to maintain and produce high quality financial and budgetary data; word processing, compiling and updating databases and spreadsheets; receipting, allocating and acknowledging correspondence; taking telephone calls, arranging meetings and travel bookings; updating OH LEADER website; supporting the development of marketing material and assisting with the delivery of events and networking opportunities throughout the islands; ensuring all LEADER grant claims are produced to required high standards and timescales; liaising with internal and external contacts.

Auchinleck Community Development Initiative - Centre Manager

The Auchinleck Community Growing & Resource Garden is an exciting community resource based within ex-mining village of Auchinleck, East Ayrshire. #Future UnWritten - Project Officer (contract) - Tartan Jigsaw

Girvan Town Team and Tartan Jigsaw have secured funding from Ayrshire LEADER to deliver a new and innovative project to set the stage for Girvan creating better tourism experiences.

Tartan Jigsaw with Girvan Town Team will organise local creative workshops and masterclasses with cultural, 3D designers and producers of augmented reality experiences. During this programme of local sessions, masterclasses and visits to experience various options across the UK, local people will be able to contribute significantly to the development of an Augmented Reality Interpretive Plan will involve all of the arts. Our overall plan is to create an innovative and technologically advanced town based Time Travel Girvan augmented experience in 2018, which is capable of attracting new visitors to Girvan.

They are looking to contract a freelance project officer to help with the development of all of the activities required in the first 12 months of the Time Travel Girvan project, which subject to further funding is expected to commence 2018.

Local Food and Drink Coordinator - Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER

Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER, together with local partners, are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead on developing and delivering a Local Food and Drink Strategy and Action Plan for the Forth Valley and Lomond region. Candidates will demonstrate their ability to quickly build relationships with different food producers and processors, explore their needs and identify opportunities that will enable growth of the sector whilst improving the sustainability of the sector. The successful applicant will have significant experience of a similar policy and coordination role, a good understanding of the Good Food Nation, Sustainable Food Cities model, Scotland’s Local Food Economy and Scottish Food and Drink sector. Ideally applicants will have good knowledge of previous food and drink work undertaken in the area. The person will be highly organised, with strong communication and interpersonal skills that can foster collaborative working and strong partnerships that will be crucial to the success of this role.
