Director of Business - Falkland Estate

Falkland Estate is a historic rural estate in central Scotland that is carving out a new way forward. The estate extends to about 1500 hectares. It includes: an in-hand organic farm, woodland, let farms, leased cottages, historic landscape and business premises.

The successful candidate will lead and support the successful development of business enterprises. You will work with staff, board members, volunteers, tenants and partners to create a viable, vibrant and valued economic system that serves Falkland Estate's purpose.

The post-holder will enable Falkland Estate to realise the potential of their social, environmental and economic assets.

RSABI Regional Development Officer (North)

  • Salary: £24,000 pro-rata for 3 days per week
  • Location: based from home

Following a reorganisation within our Development team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional dedicated part-time (three days per week) Development Officer to cover the North of Scotland for RSABI, Scotland’s charity helping people who have depended on the land. Key areas of operation are likely to be Aberdeenshire, Morayshire and Inverness shire. A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Temporary Agricultural (Inspecting) Officers - Scottish Government

  • Salary: £23383 - £26448
  • Location: Various
  • Hours: Around 42 per week  

The Scottish Government is currently seeking applications for several Temporary Agricultural (Inspecting) Officers within the Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID). These posts will be based in either Perth, Thurso, Ayr or Dumfries.

RPID is a large Division with around 600 staff who are based throughout Scotland - in Saughton House, Edinburgh as well as in 16 area offices. They are responsible for the implementation and delivery of grants, subsidies and other Government and European Union (EU) policies to the rural sector; inspection of agricultural land and livestock to ensure compliance with EU regulations; payment of EU scheme grants and subsidies delivered across Scotland worth around £650m per annum in EU funding; and providing expert analytical, scientific and technical advice and services on both agricultural and environmental matters.
