Communities Leading in Tourism is a fully-funded, responsive programme that empowers community leaders to shape and influence local tourism.

With four successful cohorts of the programme underway, applications for cohort five are now open. If you work or volunteer for a community organisation or a social enterprise that is interested in influencing Scottish tourism, this Scottish Government funded programme could be for you.

Communities Leading in Tourism is a personal development programme which will give community organisations the tools and leadership skills needed to influence, plan and manage sustainable tourism development for the benefit of their community.

The programme is part of the Scottish Tourism Leadership Programme, and brings the community and tourism sector together to maximise local tourism opportunities. It is delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy on behalf of the Scottish Government, HIE, South of Scotland Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise and Skills Development Scotland.

This 12-day programme starts in late January 2022 with places for up to 30 people from across Scotland.

Visit the Social Enterprise Academy website to find out more. Applications welcomed until 8 December.
