Walk This May

Walking is good for our minds, our bodies and our neighbourhoods and has been a lifeline during the past year, helping people stay active and connected.

It’s been over a year since the first lockdown helped many of us find our love of walking again, with 61% of us saying we were walking more than before Covid-19. As our communities open up again and life slowly begins to feel more normal, why not celebrate National Walking Month by stepping out of lockdown on foot and loving local walks this May?

Take Living Street's pledge and commit to making your short journeys (around one mile or 15-20 minutes) on foot during May.

You'll be able to find out how many miles you'll walk, how many calories you'll burn and how much CO2 you'll save across the month compared to if you were driving those trips. And everyone who takes the pledge will be in with a chance to win vouchers for outdoor clothing, so you're ready and raring to go - whatever the weather!
