Woodland Habitat Impact Assessment Workshop

Group of 3 people inspecting woodland habitat
Susan Thomson

As part of The Wild Deer Best Practice guidance collection, Steering Group partners, including NatureScot and Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) have developed a simplified methodology for assessing the impacts of grazing herbivores on woodland habitat.

The Wild Deer Best Practice programme are holding a series of free workshops across Scotland this Spring to promote the simplified Woodland Habitat Impact Assessment Lite (WHIALite) - please note, this methodology is very different to the ‘full WHIA’.

The workshops are supported by NatureScot and other delivery partners and are ideal for deer managers, gamekeepers, and land, forestry, and woodland managers.

Workshops will take place at the locations below.
