Research indicates 90% of family wealth is lost within two generations. Successful succession doesn’t just happen, and for many families passing on a viable business to the next generation may be one of the biggest challenges they face.

Experts from Savills and Farrer & Co will outline the options and opportunities to be considered when transferring or taking over a family business, farm or estate.

The following issues will be covered:

  •  Key drivers and opportunities to create suitable multi generation family business and estates
  • Why planning for succession is so important (and may not be too late even if it hasn’t been planned!)
  • Why Wills are not the only documents that matter
  • What should you think about when looking for tax efficiencies on succession?
  • What family tensions might you find and how can you manage them successfully?
  • How can you make sure you are using your advisers in the way that works best for you?

Accountants Chiene + Tait will take part in the panel discussion at the end of the presentations and will be available at the event to discuss any succession or taxation queries you may have.

After the Question and Answer session there will be drinks and nibbles and a chance for you to speak to the advisers.
