Open meeting to find out about the Nithsdale Monitor Farm and the Monitor Farm Programme.

The event is free and open to all.

The first Nithsdale monitor farm meeting is taking place on Thursday 26 January at Clonhie Farm, Penpont, Thornhill, DG3 4ND and will be hosted by Andrew and Aileen Marchant.10.30am start and will finish around 3.30pm.

Lunch is being provided and will be at Durisdeer Village Hall, Durisdeer, Thornhill, DG3 5BQ.

Topics include:

• Introduction to Clonhie Farm

• My time as a Monitor Farmer – Duncan McEwen

• Pre-lambing nutrition – by John Vipond SAVI

• Getting involved in the Monitor Farm Project

The three-year Monitor Farm Project:

• is open to all and free to attend
• is relevant to local farming practices
• attendees have a say on topics covered and speakers invited
• attendees can pick and choose which events to go to
• is good fun and provides good food
