Venue:

Royal Highland Hotel, Inverness

Organiser:
Scottish Land & Estates

"The Keeper of the Registers of Scotland has been asked by the Scottish ministers to complete the land register within 10 years. At the moment, around 58 per cent of all Scottish properties are on the Land Register - this is about 26 per cent of Scotland's land mass.

"Almost all the remaining properties are held on the General Register of Sasines. Property currently transfers from the Sasine to the Land Register mostly through change in ownership, or by the owner voluntarily applying for registration.

Registers of Scotland are working with Scottish Land & Estates to explore ways that this might be best achieved.”

Additional information can be found on the Registers of Scotland website as background https://www.ros.gov.uk/about-us/land-register-completion

This meeting is aimed primarily at crofting landowners, professionals and other crofting interests but will be of wider interest.

The event will be interactive with opportunities for Q&A.
