Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER are seeking new members for their Local Action Group.

Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER are looking for people with experience of economic and/or community development in rural parts of East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and Falkirk to join the Local Action Group (LAG).

The LAG works as a partnership, with different members bringing together different knowledge, skills and experience required to develop the LEADER programme, assess applications and have a voice for rural development in the Kelvin Valley and Falkirk areas.

A wide range of skills and experience is needed and Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER are particularly looking for more representation from active community representatives, small businesses, social enterprises, land managers, farmers and local agencies ideally from East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire. Members are not expected to bring all of the knowledge and skills required.

You can find out more about the role of a LAG member in the document ‘Being a KVF LEADER LAG Member’.

At this time, they are not looking for representatives of the public sector as they have sufficient representation.

For more information, and to apply, visit the Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER website or email Amparo Echenique, Development Officer amparo.echenique@falkirk.gov.uk.

The closing date for applications is Friday 2 September 2016.
