The Woodland Crofts Partnership has recently been awarded £33,000 over two years to support and promote the development of woodland crofts.

The announcement was made by Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy, Fergus Ewing MSP, when he attended the Nairn Show.

Sea fisheries and processing businesses are among those to share more than £5.6 million of funding from the eighth round of the European and Maritime Fisheries Fund (EMFF).

The funding awards include £1.3 million for Seafood Scotland to help it maximise key export markets and £1.35 million for J K Thomson in Musselburgh to support the construction of a new processing factory.

New Digital Maker Space opening in Strathearn

Culture Perth and Kinross are set to launch a new Digital Maker Space facility in Crieff this September. This exciting development will allow people from the area the chance to explore new technologies, share tools, equipment and other devices to invent, play and create. 

Grants are available to help small to medium-sized enterprises in Scotland manage a wide range of Brexit impacts.

The Brexit Support Grant is funded by the Scottish Government and provides grants of a minimum of £2,000 and a maximum of £4,000.

With thanks to funding from the Lanarkshire LEADER programme, Lowther Hills Ski Club has achieved a key milestone in its development that will allow the social enterprise to grow visitor capacity and meet the recreational needs of local inhabitants both in winter and throughout the year.

The Moray Growth Deal will see £65 million invested in creating high-value jobs, strengthening local communities and safeguarding the future of the local economy.

The Scottish Government will invest up to £32.5 million in Moray over 10 to 15 years to drive inclusive economic growth across the region, with the UK Government matching the funding over a 15 year period.

This year's £1 million Rescue Boat Grant Fund is now open for applications.

This UK Government funding is open to search and rescue teams in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to buy new boats, engines or other equipment.

So far, the £6million scheme has paid for 82 new boats, more than 1,800 items of equipment for rescue operations and in excess of 5,000 items of crew kit to keep volunteers safe on missions.
