The workshop will cover a broad range of topics, from the latest social media platforms to the importance of good online design as well as the increasing availability of customer data.

Topics include:

  • Digital Transformation and the Data Revolution
  • The ever evolving world of social media platforms, looking at Snapchat, Facebook, Periscope, Twitter, Instagram… to name but a few!
  • The impact of increased mobile usage on user experience expectations and search engine optimisation.
  • How using good design can be persuasive and help convert customers.
  • How to source engaging content.
  • The importance of a digital strategy and a methodology to work to.

By attending this session delegates will understand the opportunities that Digital Transformation offers, if they are using the correct platforms to engage with key audiences, the latest trends in digital and tourism, persuasive design techniques that can increase website engagement and the free tools available to measure return on investment.

The Digital Awareness workshops are the first of a series of events, workshops and practical learning experiences being launched by the Digital Tourism Scotland (DTS) programme that will cover a broad range of topics from Search Engine Optimisation Made Easy to Persuasive Design.

Following this session delegates are welcomed to book from a range of suitable workshops, events and networking events.

DTS events are aimed at tourism businesses only who operate on a B2C (Business to Consumer) or B2B (Business to Business) basis. Unfortunately, we can’t offer places to intermediaries, consultants or suppliers of services.
