11:05 Scottish Rural Parliament - Advancing Equality

12:05 LGBT Health and Wellbeing - Tele-friending service

LGBT Health and Wellbeing have an established Telefriending service for older LGBT+ people, who may be feeling isolated. A trained team of staff and volunteers make regular phone calls to have a friendly chat with community members. The service is free, Scotland wide and open to anyone aged 50 and over. They are particularly keen to reach people living in rural Scotland and have asked us to share the information on how to get in contact with the service.

12:30pm Removing Barriers to Help: Providing effective mental healthcare across in rural Scotland, Thrive Mental Wellbeing

Thrive: Mental Wellbeing is the only NHS approved digital mental healthcare platform that provides clinically evidenced tools to look after our wellbeing proactively, including unlimited therapy and counselling provisions. Lizzie from Thrive will be demonstrating how the app works, how it's currently being used across Scotland, and how Thrive supports people across rural communities who have challenges accessing traditional mental healthcare services.
