Crieff & Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s.

The modern day Tryst is a walking festival run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas of Perthshire. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.

The Tryst also embraces a mountain bike event, The Hairy Coo.  In 2018 the competition races will also be joined by some family friendly bike rides. Complementing the outdoor activities is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with talks, music, drama and film, and Crieff has great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions.

The Crieff & Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst have recently been awarded Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) status – if you are interested in supporting the Tryst and becoming a member please visit the website for further information.
