The information will help keep farmers updated on some of the legal requirements of employing seasonal labour such as accommodation and weather protective clothing requirements as well as reducing the risks of employing illegal workers and labour exploitation. And, in recognition that contented and productive seasonal migrant workers are a vital asset to the Scottish horticulture sector and are a critical part of its success, information on worker representation committees and a new multi-lingual helpline for workers.
