The Scottish Charity Awards 2017 are now open for nominations and entries in eight categories.

The awards are organised by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and are a chance to celebrate a special person, organisation or project. 

The award categories are:

  • Charity of the year - an organisation that has had an exceptional year, sponsored by Keegan & Pennykid
  • Celebrating communities - for an outstanding grassroots or community initiative
  • Pioneering project - for an innovative project that has made a huge difference
  • Cracking campaign - for a strong awareness or fundraising campaign, sponsored by SGN
  • Charity champion - for someone who has demonstrated great dedication to a cause
  • Demonstrating digital - for a groundbreaking digital organisation or project, sponsored by Digital Scotland
  • Leading light - for an employee whose dedication is reaping rewards for their organisation
  • Terrific trustee - for a board member who really excels, sponsored by OSCR

You can enter or make nominations for people and causes close to your heart until 6 April 2017.

The winners will be revealed at a glittering ceremony in Edinburgh on 22 June 2017.
