Grant-funded advice through Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service (FAS) is available to help farmers bring costs down for businesses and offer options for diversification. All grant options can be tailored to the needs of the individual business and will be delivered by a qualified adviser.

Efficiency of fertiliser application, energy usage and your own valuable time can be improved through specialist advice. Options like soil and nutrient management, carbon audit action plans, resilience and business efficiency can all help.

Two specialist advice options are available to farmers and crofters with up to £1,000 of grant funding available per option. For farmers weighing up bigger changes to their business models, Integrated Land Management Plans (ILMPs) offer a full SWOT assessment, biodiversity and habitats review, financial analysis and cross compliance assessment. They are an excellent tool for businesses that want to identify opportunities for growth and look over the business with a fresh pair of eyes.

Up to £1,200 is available for up to 80% of the cost.
