Foundation Scotland has established a flood recovery appeal fund to help support those affected by the recent flooding across Scotland.

The Flood Appeal will support individuals who have been affected, with grants of up to £1,000.

Community groups or charities who are supporting those who have been affected by the floods, or who have been affected themselves, can apply for grants of up to £5,000.

Giles Ruck, CEO Foundation Scotland said:

"We are aware that the local response in flooded areas has been phenomenal, however it will take many months for those affected to assume a semblance of normality. Our appeal aims to direct funding to those in need and helping them rebuild their homes and lives and provide some relief in what has been an extremely difficult time. We would urge anyone who has been flooded to get in touch."

For more information about the flood appeal visit Foundation Scotland website or to apply using the simple online form visit https://www.foundationscotland.org.uk/flood-recovery-appeal/apply-for-funding/

The fund is entirely separate from the Scottish Government Relief Fund.  Anyone interested in applying to the Government fund should contact their relevant local authority.
