Local groups and organisations with great ideas to make their communities even better places to live are invited to apply for funding from the People’s Health Trust.

Active Communities is their funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations, with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years.

The fund is open in different areas at different times of the year and is currently open to applicants in: Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Falkirk, Inverclyde, Moray, Na h-Eileanan an Siar, North Lanarkshire, Orkney Islands, West Dunbartonshire, West Lothian and Shetland.

Applications will close on 3 May at 1pm.

Active Communities is for projects seeking investment of between £5,000 and £40,000 for projects lasting up to two years and focuses on small initiatives designed and run by local people. Active Communities is particularly interested to hear how projects will respond to the cost of living crisis and rising mental health needs.
