The 'Transition to Greener Economies' project brochure has been published by the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) and is now available to download online.

The brochure features information from innovative projects across Europe including rewarding flower conservation in French meadows, sustainable cycling in southern Spain and residual wood as a sustainable energy source in rural Belgium.

The publications is structured into six sections reflecting some of the main areas of opportunities and action presented by the Rural Development Programmes for supporting transition to greener rural economies.

The sections are:

  • Making a living from biodiversity
  • Doing more with less
  • Promoting green tourism
  • Renewable energy from rural production
