A location is being sought for the next Scottish Rural Parliament, scheduled to take place in November 2018.

Every two years, the Scottish Rural Parliament brings together around 400 people from across rural communities for a three-day event. Events have previously taken place in Oban in 2014 and Brechin in 2016.

The event aims to raise the profile of rural needs and successes, connect rural community representatives with decision-makers and share ideas and good practice.

Scottish Rural Action, who organise the event, are looking for a community with enthusiasm for hosting the event. The location is one of the key ingredients to the Scottish Rural Parliament's success and hosting is a chance to show off the strengths and successes of the local community.

Expressions of interest in hosting should be submitted by 12 February 2018.

Visit the Scottish Rural Parliament website for more information.
