Finance and Operations Manager - Future Woodlands Scotland

Future Woodlands Scotland is a small Scottish charity set up to fund innovative thinking for native woodlands. Established in 2012 they give small grants up to £10,000 for research. The organisation has recently secured significant funding to develop and grow its activities to incentivise landowners to create new native woodland.

They now require a flexible part-time manager with professional and practical financial experience in the charity sector to help design, manage and monitor financial and budgeting operating procedures, manage the research grant process and generally work with and support trustees to ensure they remain compliant with charity regulations and efficiently deliver their charitable objectives as Secretary of the charity.

It is envisaged that this role will be 0.5FTE at least in the first instance whilst setting up management systems, but this may change as the organisation develops after the first few months. As a result, this would potentially suit a self-employed contractor who is able to be flexible or can call on other contractors to support.
