Research Assistant - Centre for Mountain Studies

The Centre for Mountain Studies and the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Mountain Development are based in Perth, at Perth College UHI, a large academic partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands. The advertised post is to fill a key need in the team working at the Centre, working on all aspects of project development and delivery. Excellent communication and database skills and a strong interest in knowledge exchange are important.

Community Woodland Development Officer - Glengarry Community Woodlands

  • Hours: 35 hours weekly
  • Salary: £20,000 - £24,000
  • Location: Invergarry
  • Duration: Fixed term of 18 months. This may be extended

Glengarry Community Woodlands have been successful in the purchase of the Wood and Old Forestry Depot in Invergarry, Glengarry. They are now looking for a Community Development Officer to further develop and implement aspects of our Business Plan and Community Projects to maximise the opportunities this new venture provides them. 

The main purpose of the job is to develop projects as specified by the directors of Glengarry Community Woodlands, with the emphasis on community involvement.

Tyne Esk LEADER Programme Finance Support Officer

  • Location: Dalkeith
  • Salary: £24,439 - £26,711 per year
  • Hours: 36 hours per week

Based at Fairfield House, Dalkeith within the Council’s Economic Development Section, you will assist with the delivery of the Tyne-Esk LEADER Programme 2014/20 throughout the rural areas of East Lothian and Midlothian. In particular, you will assist with the development, implementation and management of a robust programme of monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the Programme’s physical and financial performance.

You will have experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders active in rural economic development. A first class communicator with strong interpersonal skills you will require a thorough understanding of the European and Scottish Government’s regulations underpinning the LEADER Programme together with the ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data.

Volunteer Coordinator - Scottish Rural Parliament

This is a new and exciting post. The Business Manager will be a member of Paths for All's Management Team. The post holder will lead on financial management, business and partnership development and oversee the work of our corporate services.

They are looking for someone with considerable experience in managing the finances of an organisation, business acumen and managing HR, IT, Administration services. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in one of the above disciplines. A member of a relevant professional body would be advantageous.
